Super Mario 3D - Trailer
Nintendo has proven to be a turntablist practice when it comes to Mario remix. Faced with a steady backbeat Mario platform game mixed in samples of the series last twist, and distortion to create a new mix, and often quite intoxicating. Galaxy Games remain one of the stronger brews of this generation, yet in the end, these are the same basic ingredients that have been around since the dawn of the series.
Super Mario 3D (working title), the game that left a huge hole in the launch line-up 3DS earlier this year and gave a good show at E3, is the final mix. It is, again, a review of old favorites presented in a new light, from different angles and with renewed vigor.
The approach can be best summed up the point of view, a fixed camera which is midway between the dynamism of the Galaxy and strictly lateral view of New Super Mario Bros. for Nintendo Wii and its follow-up. Because Galaxy is a team of guides, fails entirely to remain in place, jump in the Warp Pipe will show an isometric FOLLOWS puzzles, and although some levels are played in the side, others see Mario across the screen, Crash-style Bandicoot.
And why is a team Galaxy, Super Mario 3D seems to enjoy a new player for the shower. Even if there is no playable version at E3 show floor, behind closed doors in the demo sees the game to accept a top-down view of a short but complete, a tribute to Zelda, Mario Fiore launch fireballs four corners of a room simple puzzle. This is a single-use initiative, who opened the games of the Galaxy, and it is wonderful to see that even if the camera has not been tamed, there is no creativity.
Zelda is not the only game Nintendo has made its mark on the annals of Super Mario in 3D, and the greatest influence of the game is perhaps the most welcome. Super Mario Bros. 3 continues its aggressive, not only said the tail wagging the Tanooki Mario 3D logo, but also small details in the course of the four levels that make up the E3 demo. And 'the end of the level of the flag pole, jump blocks marked with notes and floating airships filled with bullet bills to navigate. At the same time, Boom Boom, one of the bosses in the exhibition, is another refugee NES Classic.
Then there is the Tanooki Suit yourself. It will be grabbing the Super Leaf, but its powers are hardened and jumping in three dimensions. Hold down the Go button pressed to see a jump the queue to shake wildly, leaving Mario to glide through the air, and slows the descent. They no longer have the ability to change the statue, and crushing, is no longer the ability to fly.
